And I’m the ghoul behind the blog. I am a twenty-something, Dunkin’ Donuts-fueled blogger, proud New Englander, and lover of all things macabre.

I was born and raised in western Massachusetts but left home at 18 for Miami, where I spent 4 years until moving back to my hometown in the Fall of 2017. New England was calling for me to come back…so that’s exactly what I did, and it feels good to be back.

I’ve always been tremendously interested in the region’s past, especially the darker side of things, and wanted to create a space where I could openly share that with like-minded individuals. So, The New England Ghoul was created in the Spring of 2018 along with an amazing community. With New England being a region that is so rich in history, there’s no shortage of haunted locations, legends, and eerie folktales – and that’s mainly what I like to share here, along with other odds and ends relating to the area like showing love to local small businesses.

There’s an inexplicable feeling I get when I step onto the creaky floorboards of a historic home, or when I take a stroll through a gravesite with headstones dating back centuries. It sparks a curiosity in me of what life was like for the forgotten souls who once lived in this very region, and who may still be lingering here. There’s always an eagerness to learn more…

When I’m not exploring my local historic sites or wandering through cemeteries, you can find me crafting hauntingly beautiful scents for Maplecroft Candle Co. or delving into a metaphysical book.
